INDONESIAN NEW AMBASSADOR INVITED
COLLEAGUES FROM ASEAN DIPLOMATIC MISSIONS
TO AN OPEN HOUSE
 
 
           

 

Right after presenting credential letters to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzadin Wadaullah, Sultan and Yang DiPertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, the newly appointed Indonesian Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam H.E Mr. Herijanto Soeprapto and his wife Mrs Rimah Herijanto held an open house at his residence in Bandar Seri Begawan on January 14, 2006.
 
The open house was attended by High Commissioner, Ambassadors, and the other members of ASEAN Diplomatic Missions to Brunei Darussalam.
 
H.E.Mr. Herijanto Soeprapto said that as a newly appointed Indonesian Ambassador or as a new comer in Brunei Darussalam, we need to immediately  introduce our selves to colleagues in Brunei, especially colleagues from ASEAN countries.  That is why we hold this open house and that is why  with all respects we invited them to attend the function.
 
H.E Mr. Herijanto then continued by saying that, in this regard I should express my sincere thanks and highly appreciation for the presence of High Commissioner of Malaysia, Ambassadors of Myanmar, Ambassador of Philipine, Ambassador of  Thailand, Ambassador of Vietnam and high ranking officials from other ASEAN country’s diplomatic missions at such the event.
 
In his introduction remarks during the function, H.E Mr. Herijanto said that before in Brunei, he was the Indonesian Ambassador in Santiago-Chile for the period of the year 1998 to 2001, and Director General for Asia, Pacific, and Africa at the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia until 2005.   H.E Mr Herijanto Soeprapto hopes that in the future he could cooperate and work together with colleagues and parties concerned in Brunei Darussalam in order to enhance the bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam.
