The President
of the Republic of Indonesia H.E Megawati Soekarnoputri who was on her
official visit to attend the Royal Wedding Ceremony Between , His
Royal Highness the Crown Prince Haji Al Muhtadee Billah and Yang
Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Istri Pengiran Anak Sarah
started one of her itinerary in Brunei Darussalam by attending the
meeting with the Indonesian communities in Brunei Darussalam at the
Residence of the Ambassador, Wisma Duta at Jalan Kebangsaan Bandar
Seri Begawan last Wednesday. The Indonesian Ambassador H.E Mr Yusbar
Djamil and his wife Madam Praptiningsih Yusbar hosted the gathering
which is attended by around 300 peoples.

During the
meeting, the President has informed the people the latest situation
and progress in Indonesia including the preparation for the next
run-off of the Indonesian Presidential direct election. President
Megawati Soekarnoputri accompanied by her husband the first gentlemen
H.E Mr. Taufiq Kiemas and her daughter Ms Puan Maharani asked the
Indonesian community worked and residing in Brunei Darussalam to show
the quality of their profession, work diligently and with dignity and
abide by the rule and regulations. Ibu Megawati-the way she is
socially to be addressed calls on the Indonesian in Brunei Darussalam
to participate seriously in the next second round of General Elections
which will be held on September 20, 2004 at the Embassy of the
Republic of Indonesia Bandar Seri Begawan.

of the Republic of Indonesia has attended the prestigious and
spectacular the Majlis Adat Istiadat Bersanding Diraja at Istana Nurul
Iman on Thursday before returning to Jakarta on September 9, 2004 at
the afternoon.
