- INDONESIAN EMBASSY LAUNCHED
- THE PROGRAM OF RAMADHAN 1425 H
FOR INDONESIAN IN BRUNEI

On Saturday October 16, 2004, the Indonesian Ambassador
H.E Mr. Yusbar Djamil launched a program of Ramadhan 1425 H
for the Indonesian in Brunei Darussalam.
- The program will consists
of several activities such as Shalat tarwih every week end which
has been started at the residence of the Ambassador on Saturday,
October 16, 2004 and to be continue at the Embassy Building
every Saturday nights. The program at the Ambassador's residence
that attended by around 150 Indonesian conununities, consists of
activities such as Iftar or Sungkay together, Shalat Maghrib,
Shalat Isya, Shalat tarwih, and ended by a Religious Talks given
by Dr. Abdurrahman Haqqi, a lecturer in University of Brunei
Darussalam. To celebrate the Nuzul Qur'an, on October 24, 2004 at
01 PM the Embassy will hold several activities for children such
as contest on reading the Qur'an verses, contest on Adzan, and
coloring calligraphy contest. For adults, a seminar then will be
held after Shalat Tarwih at the Embassy on Saturday, October 30,
2004.

The Embassy will also conduct the collection of alms
consist of Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqoh which will be sent to
the unfortunates in Indonesia before Idul Fitri. The Program
of Ramadhan will be closed by holding Shalat Idul Fitri 1
Syawal 1425 H at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia
Spg 528, Kg Sg Hanching Barn Jalan Muara Bandar Seri Begawan
that will be started at 07 AM. Details information regarding
Shalat Idul Fitri will be announced by the Embassy later.

At the launching ceremony on Saturday October 16, 2004,
Ambassador Yusbar Djamil invites all Indonesian in the
Sultanate to actively participate at the above mentioned
program and hopes that may God the Almighty bless us all.
